The winner of the US$10,000 buy-in main event of the World Series of Poker will take home $8.25 million based on the 6,358 players who sat down over the four starting days of play. Officially, 4,569 players took part over the first three days and 1,698 had made it into Day 2. An additional 1,789 players sat down Monday for the final opening day.
