Plat’s DVD Review
By Platypus | October 25, 2007
I sat down and checked out the new DVD “The Condemed” starring Stone Cold Steve Austin. Going in I thought this can’t be too bad, I am a huge wrestling fan and Stone Cold is one of my all time favorites. The story is that this guy sets up an internet broadcast setting up a life or death tournament between 10 convicts on death row to slug it out on a remote island which even the FBI can’t seem to find. The last one standing gets to go free with no questions asked. Stone Cold’s charecter is a deep cover operative who got caught on assignment in South America and was put on trial without the American government knowing about it. He was the main guy and the whole movie revolves around him. Think Rambo meets The running man.
The action scenes were confusing at times because they were using the internet cameras to make you feel like you were watching live and the action seemed a bit faster then the camera work. (if that makes sense) All and all it was entertaining and I thought Stone Cold did a good job with his first feature film. I give it 6 1/2 out of 10 Rent it don’t buy it.
