Bon Jovi what are you doing???

Now I am a Big SNL fan. I am also a Bon Jovi fan. Last Saturday Bon Jovi hosted Saturday Night Live with special Music Guest Foo Fighters. (another one of my favorites) Talk about the best of both worlds right? Wrong!!! I recorded the show and watched last night only to be very dissapointed. I guess you could say it was an off night for everyone. The monologue started out with John Bon Jovi arguing with Richie Sambora when Sambora forgot his lines. Now Bon Jovi not being a real comedian in any way just let Sambora stumble as the opening of the show had about a good 30 seconds of dead air. Then they got up and played a new song from the new album which is more country than anything else. Not sure if I am on board with this whole bon Jovi goes country thing I just don’t get it. The sketches were a little off as even the live audience seemed to notice. The news was a little off as well as even Amy Poller was off and that is rare. The Foo Fighters got 1 song which is because Bon Jovi ended the show with another country ditty. Not to mention the 1 song the Foo Fighters did was a little off because the drummer sings harmony and because of sound problems you could barely hear him. The only good sketch wasn’t even a sketch it was a digital short which had Andy Sandberg punching people before they take a bite of food. I’m sure this is already on you tube. I am just shocked because SNL has been so good the last couple years I guess I expect too much every week. The whole experience was like hooking up with a real hot chick and the finding out she is horrible in bed. I am not trying to bash SNL or Bon Jovi but just pointing out that some things just should not go together.
